Learning SSAS with Me – Dealing with Authentication Error

Introduction

Well, some of my friends complain that they are unable to process the SSAS Cube or Dimension. When they are going to process they are getting some common error mentioned bellow.

Internal error: The operation terminated unsuccessfully.

The following system error occurred:  A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated.

Errors in the high-level relational engine. A connection could not be made to the data source with the DataSourceID of 'XXXXDS', Name of 'XXXXDS'.

Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the dimension, with the ID of 'DIM Author', Name of 'DIM Author' was being processed.

Errors in the OLAP storage engine: An error occurred while the 'Author ID' attribute of the 'DIM Author' dimension from the 'XXXXSSAS' database was being processed.

Server: The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed.

Now the million dollar question is how to resolve that.

How to Resolve

Step – 1 [ Create a New Account ]

Please Note that: Don’t forgot to provide Password

Step – 2 [ Connect the Database Engine and Add User ]

Step – 3 [ In Data Source of SSAS Solution ]

Step – 4 [ Now Process ]
